Admission Requirements

  • Advanced level of English required (minimum of TOEFL 550 PBT, 80 iBT; IELTS 6.5)
  • For students who hold a bachelor’s degree in any academic area (or equivalent combination of academic and management experience)
  • No GMAT requirement
  • No management experience required

About the Diploma Program

The University of California, Riverside Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is a comprehensive business program that explores the issues of management in the global business environment in a variety of contexts. It combines academic study of the latest management practices and strategies, intensive practical experience and on-the-job work experience in three 12-week sessions.

Students in PGDM first complete the 12-week certificate program.

Students who successfully complete the diploma program may be eligible to participate in the Optional Practical Training (OPT) program that allows for 12 months of temporary paid employment in the United States.

After completing the Postgraduate Certificate in Management (PGCM), students continue for two additional quarters of study. In the first of the two quarters, students can select up to 15 units, from a wide range of courses offered as part of the Extension Certificates in Management, including courses in:

  • Small Business Management
  • Marketing
  • Leadership
  • Human Resource Management
  • Accounting
  • Lean Six Sigma
  • Purchasing, Logistics and Supply Change Management

In the final quarter students participate in a 12-week supervised internship in the business or hospitality industries, allows this experience. Give a student  the opportunity to work in real-world settings. Internship are unpaid. Our internships coordinator will work with you to secure an internship.
